MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) - Kelly Rowland kicked it on stage Saturday at Jazz in the Gardens, an annual music festival that entertains large crowds for three jazz-filled days.
“I feel so elated,” said Aisha McKiney. “I love Kelly Rowland.”
Ahead of the event, organizers said the show is one of the most anticipated and acclaimed music festivals in the country.
Trey Songz also took the stage at Sun Life to thrill festival-goers.
“Trey Songz just take his shirt off,” said Yolanda Davis from Lakeland, Florida.
Big stars put on a show and pumped up the crowd at Saturday’s event.
“I’m glad to see all the big stars,” said Turkessa Mackey. “Everyone is so brilliant.”
Thousands packed Sun Life in Miami Gardens, celebrating into the night.
“We came all the way from Kansas City, Missouri and Houston, Texas to see Jazz in the Gardens,” said Dionne Greenfield.
CBS4’s Walter Makaula and Summer Knowles joined the fun to introduce Mint Condition—just one of the festival’s several headliners.
Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J were also part of the lineup, with comedian host DL Hughley.
“The energy is live. Listen around its live, live, live,” said Donvin Gilbert.
Music isn’t the only thing on the menu, more than 40 vendors are serving up food during the two day festival.
“Too much food,” said Gilbert. “We had the big turkey chicken wing. It’s awesome.”
With one day left, the festival is already a success.
“The crowd is great the people are great. Worth the trip, worth the money, worth the time,” said Carla Wyatt.

Jazz in the Gardens opened Friday, March 14th at Calder Casino, continued Saturday at Sun Life, and will go on through Sunday. Gates open at 3 p.m.
